I don't know what it would sound like if it's getting fuel but I know the pump works because i was able to bleed the injectors. I might try bleeding them again though because it's been a few months and I was having fuel delivery problems. Before I put the down pipe on it (back in the summer) I could see smoke come out the exhaust
