First of all, I believe Alachua County has the highest fuel prices (in Florida) no matter what due to some tax purpose for a new courthouse (I think). Around town prices range from anywhere around $1.86/gal to $1.99/gal. I don't actually live in Gainesville, but in a small town called Newberry. Approximately 13 miles from Newberry, there is a town called Alachua and that's where I buy my diesel, FOR $1.69/gal. Damn, I'll drive 13 miles outta the way to save $.17- $.30/gal, even if I'm in town for whatever reason. The station I buy mine at is a BP, and they have pretty good diesel as I'm constantly getting 26MPG on my CD.
