ok, from what I can see there is a red vaccum hose going into the engine compartment , but it is coming in next to the battery, then snaking behind the battery into a sea of wires that go to somewhere. I also noticed today when I hit the brakes hard I hear what sounds like a "zipping" noise coming from the right front, but it doesnt sound like its coming from the wheel, I thought maybe this "unit" and the noise could be related? Hope this helps someone to help me identify this thing!
