Did Mercedes offer pin stripe detail for 300E's in 1992? My 92 has a black double row stripe on the side from front to rear. A local repair shop says it is pin stripe tape and clear coated over it because it looks so perfect it is not hand applied. I cannot believe the original owner would have gone to that much trouble for a pin stripe after purchase. Was there an option code? Thanks for any and all comments.
