Sagging springs in the rear on the LWB 126 seems to be common. I just replaced the ones in the SDL and the difference is nothing short of amazing.
The suspension rubber is surprisingly solid for the age of the car. It was a san fran area car. I had a master tech friend of mine that has some mercedes experience look at the suspension and we both felt the ball joints, bushings and tie rods were in excellent shape.
