Vehicle is an 82' 300sd, took out the sending unit to clean. upon cleaning the init one of the silver wires on the side sperated from the soldered poin on the unit. I had to locate some wire that was the same size and i soldered the unit back together. Once reinstalled my dash display is pegged out at the full tank point. Does anybody have any input on this, i did see something about the wire having the proper resistance? Is it possible i need to source out different wire.?
