I'll partially agree with your comment, The E's for sure will be well past their useful life in regular service in 5 years, sans the diesel, along with the 06 CLSs, and I can't imagine there are many too Maybachs from 2004-2012, as rare as they were. However, the 2003-2012 SLs will be out there for decades, of which there are a good plenty--I suspect this warranty will give those SL years more of an appeal than they might have had? Not sure, I never gave the SBC issue a thought. (The SL warranty will expire from 2029 to 2037--guess you don't need to worry about getting parts??)
Yeah yeah I fully realize there are a pant load of Es vs SLs, despite the fact the Es were only 4 model years with SBC and the SLs were 10 model years.
