With every used Benz I buy, I make it a first priority to replace the front and rear sway bar bushings. They are easy to do on your car and not expensive. You get an immediate result of flatter handling in turns and less sensitivity to cross winds.
Wandering can also be a direct result of a bad alignment. Who did your last alignment? Did they use a spreader bar? I will ONLY go to a dealer for an alignment now.
