Robert, does the replacement trans have first gear start?
Does it have a third row seat?
Just asking so that we can add these things to the list of the car's attributes.
Folks, just one year ago board members were tripping all over themselves to get this W124 wagon: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-benz-cars-sale/388748-fs-87-300td-5-speed-manual.html . Now I can tell you from first hand direct personal knowledge that this car is not even remotely as nice as Robert's car, it's not even on the same planet. And Robert's car is only $500 more. Does an old OM603 with a 5 spd swap make that big of a difference?

Maybe it’s priced a little below market, but I don’t have the space to store the car since the HOA no longer allows street parking which is infuriating..
I know I put OBO above but I’m firm at $2500 for now. Also selling my moms ford ranger at same time and that thing is definitely OBO so it carries over. I think the price is very reasonable. It already factors in that it’ll need new tires soon, the roof and hood paint condition and the minor items it needs if someone desires to work on them. Literally junkyard condition charity 300TE’s are selling off for $500-1200 and you KNOW they have $5k of repairs behind them!! (Plus rotted out tires anyway)
Third row seats = yes!
Transmission replacement was exact swap so 2nd gear start. At the time when the original trans went out I wanted to do the simplest option with no issues so went with the best rebuilt you can find in the US at SVT.
After looking at that wagon you listed, mine is considerably nicer. Not to mention that ones a salvage title! I guess although I said no accidents above, to be clear — CLEAN tile, no accidents, nothing! Probably as I drive like a grandpa other than the semi annual Italian tune up when I make a trip from Phoenix to LA!
