Yes, Fine screwdrivers do indeed separate the male and female parts of the connector. Unfortunately at the moment, I am unable to figure out how to make some space in there. The Female part lifted clear and can be moved upwards only just enough to clear the pins, while the male part remains stationary, seemingly forming part of a rigid support, maybe even a part of the fuse box housing. Fortunately though, the short circuit was disconnected from the fuse box, proving that this cable does indeed emanate from X18. More work to go. Thanks, Warwick Megawatt Man
