The car is a e320 wagon.


The car has the updated wire harness.

Fuel filter has been changed recently.

Transmission service done a few months ago. The car has ASR



In the morning of fall/winter I get a odd issue.

The car starts normally and drives normally. then randomly the car seems like it looses power and drops a gear. the pedal becomes harder and the car only revs when I put more pressure on the pedal and it doesn't want to rev.

During this issue the trans doesn't want to up shift.



when all this happens I just shut off the car and restart and the issue goes away for a few minutes or it doesn't happen again for the rest of the day.


If I had to guess I think the problem is the ETA. or some sort of electrical issue.

If it was a transmission issue, I would think the car would rev/normally and easily.



All this happens only in much colder weather.
