Let me clarify: change the brake hoses (aka, brake lines), I didn't mean the metal brake lines.

The brake hoses eventually harden and swell, and have too much compliance in them, esp. after 5-years.

Also, if you're going to flush, pull the resevoir and replace the rubber seals for the resevoir and get a new cap.
