Question Cabin Heather

My car is a 2008 E320 Bluetec, and I learned that the heather cabin work with electricity while the engine is cold.
With this being said, will the electric heater go to turn off automatically when the engine gets hot?
The electric heater will gradually off or completely off without temperature decrease?
As the winter is the worse season for windshield fog, other than keep all windows clean, are there any other good ideas to be fog free?
Thanks
