The mechanical oil connection is on the back of the oil filter right where the oil line from the turbo unit conncets. The other guy may have put on a banjo fitting that doesn't have the oil line outlet. The oil line itself is one of the plasitc ones with the swaged-on brass fittings that you can get at almost any good auto parts store.

Get it set up like that now, you don't want to ruin one of the good diesel Mogs around.

You might have to scavenge the junkyards for other oil line from the turbo to the oil filter.
