I'm looking for Service manuals for Mercedes 220 E model 1993. Everywhere I looked for these manuals, I found that my car manual 220E is not covered in these manuals since it's European.

In one of my searches, someone said "American models are same as European with slight changes" and that you can use an American service manual for a European one.

So, I have 2 questions:
Is the above statement true?
How do I know what is the American equivallent to my European model?
