My 85 was like that originally, but when an earlier ('82 or '83) engine was swapped in, there was apparently no nozzle for the air cleaner to drain to.

My engine vents to air cleaner central oil separator. The drain on the bottom of the separator is plugged (nowhere for it drain to) I also installed a removable plug at the top. I suck any oil that has collected out when I do an oil change. Some oil no doubt gets sucked into the engine along with vapors. I have very little oil leakage on the valve cover from the vent tube (newer flat type)
