If you are comfortable with them I wouldn't change.

I had to go to Windows 10 for my school work, MasterCam, Solidworks, AutoCad, etc. which won't run on 7 or XP. I'm happy with it. It's stable, boots quickly and runs all the new stuff. Been running it for 4 years and never had a crash. THAT is an improvement over 7 and XP.

I do find fault with its frequent updates but that feature can be turned off.

Your XP machine probably won't run it.

I must admit I use Lunux 99% of the time and I only drop into Microshaft when I need to run my CNC and modeling stuff.
