I'm starting the process of elimination tomorrow concerning the weird noise that is eminating from the 617 turbo diesel engine. There is a long laundry list of items. I'm starting with diesel purge for the injectors and working from there on down. Alternator, air cleaner mount, etc etc. will be closely examined.

It is obvious to me that everyone should check their front crankshaft bolt for tightness from time to time. I'm hoping mine has not backed out.....
