Well it's all back together as of yesterday afternoon. I've driven it and WOW what a difference! It *feels* so much 'tighter' and there's no metal on metal sounds when pulling into or out of my driveway (at the curb).

I did not get to the diff bushings but I've got them ready to go when I've got some down time. Thanks to forum member 'Paul_Spr....n' for the bushing tool that I rented from him. Made that job very easy[emoji846]. Thanks to each of you who offered useful info in this thread, you guys are a true asset for anyone driving these great old cars and are DIY'ers [emoji41]
