I am getting ready to replace rotors/pads on the GLK and I was thinking of using one of these.

I have a hydraulic jack but no place to put a stand under the car. I hate the idea of not having a stand. Has anyone used one of these?

As an alternative, is there a safe place to jack up the car other than the the jack points on the side? The I could use the jack point for the stand.
