Dangerous I know!

I've been reading postings here on the DD forum and I think you guys and gals have convinced me to get a Diesel. Not right away mind you, but with the next year. I'm currently unemployed and waiting for my security papers to be approved so I can start my new job. I'm hoping this week, maybe next week.

Be that as it may, a W126 would be nice. A long time friend of mine has a 300SD W126 and he really loves it.

My wife doesn't really like the 960 and thinks it's falling apart so she can drive the V70.

One other think that convinced me is a recent problem I had with the 960. The interior door handle would not sit flush. It's very similar to the MB design. I took it apart and it needed a spring. Guess, what? It's not available, only the whole assembly for $55.00. I went to a local hardware store and got a spring to $1.00 and bent it to fit. A similar part would be available at the local MB dealer or at least orderable. Cheap bastards.

So, the search will be on.
