Nope, Kerry, this sounds like SOP for a 123 oil cooler line replacement. This is one of a bazillion reasons why I've grown to dislike the 123 chassis and periodically go hug my two 124's (they have nearly bulletproof oil coolers & hoses).
Note that I have owned several of each, and do all my own work on them. Can't wait to trade out the 123 for a nice 201 or 124...!
