The basics:
--Euro car w/ some cool Euro-only touches
--3.0L non-turbo motor runs very well
--333k miles
--Rust is getting pretty bad on the body & needs exhaust. I'd recommend this as a parts car...though I'd also jump in it and drive it 60 miles round trip to work tomorrow. You can drive it home.
--Huge set of records from several OCD owners
Longer story
Bought this car from s38junkie (Mike) back in January of 2012 with 267,500 miles. I've put on 66k miles in about 7 years, sticking the the MB service schedule, keeping up on maintenance and updates where needed. That said, from the history of the car, it has spent at least 25 years in the northeast and the rust is getting pretty bad.
I'd love to keep the car and transfer parts to another W124, but the wife is done with this car, and I don't have a new W124 ready to 'hold' the parts yet.
Mike did an excellent job with the original ad, largely I'll update what has changed from there:

The good
--OM603 non-turbo runs excellent. Started in 4 degree weather this winter on a single glow. Still has a lifter tick, no change in 60+k miles. Actually, I think I tested which lifters were collapsed, but didn't pull the cam to replace as the car ran fine and the ticking goes away. Compression tested: 360-305-340-335-340-340
--6 new Monarch nozzles replaced at 270k. Became a 35mpg highway car up from ~30mpg
--M-pump with no leaks, recently resealed DV's
--Tranny is original, has always been serviced at 30k, shifts quickly into reverse, kicks down correctly. Can be a little abrupt on some upshifts, has been like that for 65k miles.
--New(er) front suspension bits (tie rods, drag link, steering shock)
--New front brake rotors, pads, wheel bearings. One rear caliper rebuilt
--Beautiful condition Blue MB-tex interior. Door panels are in great shape, except the 'new' $250 one from MB that has started to peel at the top. Great early style headliner that never sags.
--4 crank windows that will never break and require a $180 power window regulator
--Cool rear reading lights in C-pillars
--Euro headlights are great...but...there is a vacuum leak in the lights I haven't traced down.
--Just changed the oil 2 weeks ago...
--Body above the rockers is in great shape, beautiful paint color, only the rear quarter panel has any wrinkle in it.
--Sunroof surprisingly still works great
--Heat works well, though ducting to the floor isn't as strong as it should be
--4" clock replaces tachometer, allows timing of quarter mile runs.
The bad
--The rust. Mike did some remediation around the jack points, but those are getting bad. Behind the front wheels the fenders were full of years of 'muck' that had collected from the windshield drains, rotting these from the inside out. The rear drivers side by the taillight is rusting through the accident damage. Pictures with BRIGHT flash to show full details on all these will follow.
--Rear brake line leaking, currently plugged at master cylinder
--Exhaust ends after resonator. Has a new and good Y-pipe from a custom muffler shop. It's loud.
--Odometer finally gave up the ghost at 307k miles
Please let me know if you have questions. I have surely forgotten some details, but would like to see another MB owner make some use out of this car.
