I did not post because of regional differances plus it depends on who you know as well. It surprised me your estimates turned up very similar.

When you are finished painting.I would take a rocker panel spray type canister. Mix some grease and oil. Heat it up in hot water and spray in all the places you can get into. Especially the frame as well. It really extends the metals life in areas where rust is common. Just never apply anything that sets up hard as it actually creates more rust.

That is what Mercedes did at the factory for years and is the bane of these cars in the rustbelt.
