Actually Tom it just saves taxpayers money. As many of these people would enter nursing homes much earlier through their financial need otherwise.

With inflation today for a percentage they would have no other choice. It is three to four thousand for a nursing home placement per month today or more. Many in them do not have the need for their services. Just old and poor.

In a way it of course is socialistic. Yet in their prime of life these people worked and under our system of capitalisim were paid little compared to what their employers made.

Some forms of redistribution has to be in effect. Or we would be a really cruel society. It has hurt the landlord business to some extent must be acknowledged.

New developments continually under construction exceed demand. The requirements for one are a years residency in this province. They each have an attached single car garage. They are built with frost walls and heated concrete slab floors.

So with no basements there is a limit to the amount of junk you can take with you into them. I suspect some probably rent some storage. They are also well enough built they should eventually even amortize out at the cheap rents eventually. The larger centers are way behind us in providing them.

I have observed the people occupying them seem generally content and happy. Why have we been building them so fast and in quantity? Too much of the next generation getting older have been essentially debt ridden. There net worth is perhaps negative even .Or their basic income will just be basic pensions.

Most of us lucky people forget that many people just 60 or so either have a lot of chronic medical issues or are just worn out.

So expectations are the need will increase. If you really roll your mind on this. It is very cost effective and may not even really cost anything to provide in reality. These people were not guilty of enabling the large overall mess we are in today either. More are probably just victims than anything. Pensions are not being indexed properly to real inflation either. So far.

The wife and myself were discussing just reciently what is to come. New doctors are not the workaholics they replace. They want a more balanced life. The vast majority of new doctors are going to limiting the amount of patients they service. So we will need twice the doctors in society we have now all too soon. I do not see them being trained in that kind of numbers currently.

The wife this morning asked me how I know and do things. Or is it like sex where it all just comes naturally to you guys that can? I told her we have drives but our emotional context is much different than women as you know all too well. So we kind of reside with aliens. We must have some flexability. Anyways I cannot really give you an answer without thinking about it for a day or so.

When I asked why she asked? It was mentioned that she listened to the extensive discussion about the odd brake problem on my car. I had with her brother Yesterday. Never a really dull day with the wife.
