Yeah but it needs to be clearances alot to fit the rear seal area. It also bolts on with no dowel pins to accurately align it with the block. The iron block trans aligns with the face of the bell housing being a machined register. If you slot the plate then the bell housing needs to be also. There are webs that don't really lend themselves to this without filling and drilling. I can align it with a dial indicator on the crank and the bell but I don't see it staying put with the amount of shock load it gets drifting. Soon as it walks . O5 " high rpm shifting will be gone, then input bearing.. I know it's been done but I don't see any still around.
I'm sure there's a solution to that I just am not sure how to do it.
