Rock Auto lists the same 8b1004 rod bearings for 83 380sl and 560sl. I've got a 3.8 with valve damage here. Multiple djet 4.5, so really just need rods to see if it would actually jive. Unfortunately being one off it would kind of be a shame to treat it like I treat my stock 4.5 motors. But I guess not having to do any real machine work besides valve relief that I can use a ****ty head to make a cutter from makes it repeatable. I wonder about rotating assembly balance? Oh! I do have m119.960 rods (also same 8b1004 bearings) that are a replaced by part number for a 5.6. probably stronger too. Hmmmm.
