My mother married a man among men who stayed with her until he died, Lawrence, I miss him to this day, he took on my PIA mother and her six wild and off the hook children and treated us all like his own .

i was just going out the door (1967) when he arrived but I knew he was the one for mom the first time I ever met him and told him so much to the embarrassment of mom .

It's not a small thing, taking in another person's children .

I got divorced when I was 35 YO and so almost al of the women I dated had children and amazingly most men wouldn't go near a woman with kids unless it was hit it and split .

I made some good friends I still have to this day .
