There's a Dell Celeron 2.0 GHz laptop on the site I mentioned right now, with a free palm zire for $699. Celerons would be just fine for what you described. No gaming (I don't play games, so I think they're ok). Oh, I have no interest in that site, I've just saved a lot of money by using it.
