If it's like a 126, pull down. Rotate 1/4 turn. Make sure the ears that seat up at the top aren't splayed out bigger than the hole. Push the entire ornament up through the hole. Note that the hole has ears to let the ears of the lock pass through. Ears of the lock need to be lined up with ears of the hole.

Sort of like [O] or except that round part of the hole is bigger.
