Going back to my previous post re: panhandlers by Midway Airport. (RANT WARNING)
It happened again...Stuck in traffic at the intersection of Cicero Ave and I55/Stevenson Expy several cars back from the red light waiting to get on the freeway. 3 people wandering around the stopped traffic with squeegies and water in spray bottles. Spray first, beg for money, and maybe get the water squeegied off.
I didn't offer any money after getting the windshield sprayed and they didn't squeegie if off. So I hit the wipers/washers in the car and cleaned it off that way.
One of them got a little wet from the spray so he thumped my hood with an open palm and started yelling about "f'ing **** white guys". Great timing of the red light, as the arrow turned green and let about 10 of us through. I would have ran the arrow if it turned red before I got to turn.
SERIOUSLY???!!! I don't care if they were black, white, green, blue or purple, they weren't getting a dime. I'm almost sure these are the same people that have been there for a long time. And the same ones who have refused my offers in the past to get them food from one of the places nearby.
I have a front and rear dashcam now and as soon as I figure out how to cut/paste clips I'll have fun posting video of instances like this. Stay tuned!
