I usually just install 6.0Q of SAE 15W-40 CK-4 and call it good. I believe the min/max difference is approximately 2.0L, as stated in the owner's manual. If mine gets down halfway in between I add half a quart.
I can't remember the last time the oil level light came on, but I recall it's before the level on the stick reaches the "min" point.

If yours gets down half way why do you add half a quart? Why wouldn't you add a quart since that is the amount missing?
When I turn left going above 40mph or turn hard to the left my oil level light comes on.
