Thomas, my seats are similar but not exactly the same. If swapping the adjuster requires beating out those four screws, then I'll probably chicken out. But you did explain why my impact driver has never worked - too small of a hammer! Thanks again.

edit - As far as the junkyard question, I went on a search a few years ago and could not find any Mercedes of any model or year in my area. If somebody knows where they are hiding, please let me know! I already Potomac German Auto, but they don't have any good palomino seats at the moment.
