There have been reports of excess oil consumption with a high oil level, so I maintain it a bit below the full level.

Even back in the day when I did a lot of sporting back road driving, ran it at some track events at Willow Springs and the 1989 Silver State Classic Challenge I never saw a decrease in oil pressure under maximum chassis dynamic loading, but back then I think I ran it full, if not a little over.

My driving habits are much more constrained, now.
