I'll check to see if any of the bushings are loose or worn.

What did you adjust to get the better accelerator response? Mine seems to push too hard, is there an adjustment for that, different return spring?

I don't mind spending money on something that's broken or worn excessively, I just don't believe in replacing parts just because they are old or have so many miles on them. If it ain't broken, don't fix it is my motto.
