I like it alot. It really transforms the car from the screamers that the 4 speeds are famous for to a VERY relaxed highway cruiser. I'll have to keep an eye on my speed during highway trips as this car will easily creep up to ticket range without any drama.
I'm really not sure what axle ratio this car has. It does feel like it's geared quite tall, presumably to make high speed runs easier on the ears. I'm hoping that this translates to much above the average 240D fuel economy figures. I'll be making sure to post the numbers once I have a working odometer in the car. The only tradeoff that I can see is that the car definitely feels like it works harder getting going. Then again, I didn't buy the car to go fast. I just wanted to be back in a good ole' MB diesel again - and it feels GREAT!!
Oh yeah, one can never have too much power. A Eurospec 5 cylinder 5 speed manual would simply be icing on the cake. If you find one, snag it.
