Yes add the heavier 617 engine and the automatic removes some of the charm of that 123 chassis in my opinion. I found the 114 gas cars to be much the same in my hands. Similar to the 240ds. With less roll perhaps. The 240d with the manual will do a nice even controlled side slide in my experience on the road. This can stop a spin out occurring. Tires also seem to be involved as well.


I had some time finding the right tires for the old fintail. Before I got rid of the under steer..

A budget modification to the 123 240d that should not unbalance the car in any way. A rear end and speedometer change. With a turbo addition. Just to make it a little more drivable in some cases.
