Years ago I read Plato’s Republic and one of the many notions which stayed with me was the “moral theory” that ‘might makes right’. This theory may ultimately be the fundamental basis of humanity. Around 400 years later Christianity changed things. I see those as the two big dividers: accept religion and its constructs or Plato’s dinner guest’s position. Otherwise you’re either a hypocrite or a con man
