The Canadian army was involved with Dunkirk. I do not know what the real original plan was or the amount of intelligence that was available.


They attacked a fairly strong point. The Germans did not seem to have a large amount of difficulty dealing with it.


Germany knew or strongly suspected they had lost the war as early as 1942. The Russians had crippled them plus they had few oil reserves. Yet surrender was impossible. With most the combatants dead now an accurate unbiased account should be written.
