I have driven several hundred thousand, if I added it up, probably over a half million miles in the DFW area including crowded stop light to stoplight as well as jammed up freeways almost entirely with a manual transmission. I didn’t love the traffic, but I didn’t mind at all handling a manual under those conditions. As I stated earlier, I ENJOY driving a manual transmission. In fact, stop and go traffic is more enjoyable with a manual because I get to shift more.

For me it is the opposite. In cruising I don’t get to shift, so an automatic is not as much fun out here in the boonies.
