I have a 1990 300CE 24v Automatic (UK model) 152.000miles.
Over the last few months I have noticed that when it changes up from 2nd to 3rd it hangs and revs increase for a couple of seconds before 3rd engages. This is not to too bad at soft accelerations but when I accelerate hard the engine revs up really high (6000+) before 3rd gear engages.
Changes from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th are perfect.
Does anyone have any ideas.
