Impossible to do without a unifed front on the subject. Since your wife isnt on the same page you can be played off against each other.

Tv for children in my household is an earned and limited commodity, and never right before bed. It is amazing how inventive and clever children are without the distraction of television putting them in a zombie like state.

I am frankly amazed that the OP, a man who has literally been complaining for YEARS on this forum about the degredation of society and these kids today, allows his grandchildren to watch television he thinks is ridiculous in his presence.
