An electric starter isn't driving the car for me. Neither is power steering. Or power brakes. They are assisting your input, not changing it because you are doing it wrong or are unable to. Driving a go kart is a pure driving experience, you feel what it's doing like it is an extension of your body . I want my cars the same way. An auto trans, you put it in drive, it decides what gear to be in. Power steering, you turn left, the car goes left as much as you want it to, just easier. It's not making any decisions. On a race car that's light enough I'd rather not have power steering or brakes really. A 3200 pound car it's not really practical. I still have great feeling in my steering with power assist after modifications I've made. The brakes are great too. They are really good stock.
