It's not just the om616 that they keep making. I believe they still make the Mercedes TN (came out 1977, sprinter predecessor) and they call it a Force Traveller

The interesting thing about the TN was that in a 307D it had a gross weight of up to 3,500kg (7,700 lb) and yet it was available with a N/A OM616 from a 240D.

I Doubt that thing ever reached 60mph but that's just a european thing
