That is a beautiful finney. Mine was that color but had a navy interior. The white steering wheel was lovely.
On the salt shaker starter switch pulling it to the glow position powers the glows, then puling it out to the start position closes a heavy switch which looks like the contacts on a solinoid. There is a fabric link in the linkage which if worn out will not allow you to close the contacts to activate the starter. If that is worn it will not start. It is easy to replace though if you can get the part.
This post is based on the idea that it is basically the same as an early 115 car, since my finneys were both gassers.
