At one time almost all batteries were built by Johnson Controls. Interstate to Die Hard, they were all the same. The extra cost was for the warranty.
So, having more money than brains, I bought a Die Hard. Yup, can't go wrong with Sears. Hey, they will be around forever to honor the warranty, right?
The thing quit after two years. Well, it turns out I needed to go to a Sears Automotive, and since they had almost all closed the nearest one to me was about 500 miles away. But they said they would swap it out if I was willing to drive all day to get there and then spend the next day driving back.
I wound up at Walmart. The best deal by far.
And hey! They will be around forever to honor the warranty.
Right?
