Hello,
I have tried searching for bearings too with no success (Only found the std 48mm and repair sizes, but not STD 1 and STD 2 which are listed in the service manual.)
My crankshaft is measuring 47,949mm using a micrometer. With the original bearings that are in the engine, the clearance is at 0,06mm which off from whats is listed in the service manual and its causing me a low oil pressure situation when hot and noise in the lower part of the engine.
By my searching on the internet, I understand that std bearings have 48 milimeters internal diameter, which would give me a 0,05 clearance. Still off from specs
Following the service manual, STD 1 bearings would be the perfect choice for my engine since they are made for crankshafts with diameters between 47,955 to 47,945.
I know I could just send my crankshaft to a machine shop to get resize in a smaller size and use the 1st repair size bearings, but my crankshaft is perfectly round and with no scratches. And I know that the machining quality from a machine shop will never get close to the machining made by mercedes.
Thanks again for your attention!
