For sale is a 1992 300E I have. I bought the car last summer as a winter car for my dad, he ended up getting diagnosed with and battling cancer over the winter (he's all clear now!) but we never drove the car, he's making some changes as to where he lives and the just has never gotten used, so I just need the space. Asking $1,200 in Columbus, Ohio 43224.
I replaced all of the rear brake hard lines on the car.
In its time with the me the car has gotten:
Rebuilt Alternator
Shocks and Struts all the way around
New Tires
New OVP
New Hood Release
I changed the oil
At some point in time the headgasket has obviously been replaced. I did not do it, nor do I have a receipt. But the head was very clearly cleaned by a machine shop and lots of new gaskets around it.
I have not driven the car much, it mostly sits around, but I start it and move it around periodically. I would assume it'll need rotors from sitting but the car stops fine. It's a pretty decently solid car, there was a rust bubble under the taillight I popped and silver POR15'ed. If you're so inclined I can put it on my lift and send you pics of the floors. The clearcoat on the roof, trunk, and hood isn't great. It would make a great winter car, first car, or general beater. I'd like to sell it to someone on the forum who is somewhat mechanically inclined, its a 180,000 mile 30 year old Mercedes, I'm sure it'll need some work at some point, I don't want craigslist/facebook crew thinking they're getting a brand new Mercedes for $1200.
