Good luck with everything - you are so right about a second (and even a third) opinion, and listening to your body. Growing older is a new experience for everyone: there isn't really a good road map for what feels 'normal', it is easy to just write off any gradual changes as 'just aging'. I hope you get the best of treatment, and have a speedy recovery.
