Probably a bad wire in the door, where they bend a lot. I have an intermittant window on the 300D and one that only goes down (ack!) on the 300TE, haven't fixed either one.

Typically, Benz wires the switches to have power all the time, and the switch provides both power and ground, on the rear doors through the lockout switch.

All this means that both the lockout switch and the door and console switches must be good for the motor to run -- if the console switch is bad, the door switch usually won't work either. Switches are cheap --about $18.
